Easton went from number 9 on the Bears to number 56 on the Whiptails. We saw a little bit of the emotional boy the first tournament and the coach quickly put an end to it! The coach is a school teacher and knows how to handle kids! It has been so great to see him progress emotionally. (See what I mean about the colors not being as nice to photograph?)

Ouch!
For spring break we went camping at Sand Hollow with friends. The only thing Brooke brought back from the trip was her burnt feet! Gotta love flip flop tan lines!

B&B
Brooke has a best friend named Bella. They call themselves B&B. Bella moved to Oregon a few years ago and the two girls are so sad to be apart. In late March Bella and her family came to visit her Great Grandma before she passed away. The girls were so excited to spend time together. It was good for Brooke, my super serious girl, to be silly with Bella! They stayed up late on a school night giggling and painting nails.

NJHS
This school year Brooke was Vice President for the National Junior Honors Society (she was last year too). One of their responsibilities is to do service in the community. In March Brooke called her friends mom, Mrs. Moore, a kindergarten teacher at the elementary school. Brooke went and helped Mrs. Moore get packets ready for next years Kindergartners. I went along to help since the other 5 girls that were suppose to help cancelled at the last minute!

The end!
After a lot of prayer and heartache we decided it would be best for Easton to leave his baseball team. For a year he played club ball with the Bears. The team was full of a lot of drama (mostly some of the other moms) and it was becoming difficult for Easton to enjoy the game. Easton felt like it was his responsibility for the team to win and he was very emotional towards the end. For a couple months we had been asking him about leaving but he hated to leave his buddy Bowen. I finally was able to convince him that he would still be able to hang out with Bowen and that leaving would be better for him. After we left we found a new team, the whiptails, with a fantastic coach. I see so much progress and he is learning a ton! It was a hard decision but as soon as we made the decision I felt so much peace. The whole experience reminded me how much I need to rely of prayer. At one point I told Easton to pray about it and see if he would know what he was suppose to do. Easton later came to me and said he had prayed and knew he was suppose to change teams! It was a great learning process for all of us. I sure do miss his old team colors (orange and blue look so good on Easton in pictures) and seeing Bowens parents every week!

Bear!
In March Easton earned his Bear and his religious knot! It was a big accomplishment for him since he misses almost half of his scout meetings for baseball. He worked hard on his own to finish! This boys is so busy with after school activities. This school year his schedule was: M-basketball T-baseball W-baseball Th-scouts and baseball F-about once or twice a month he had a baseball game S-basketball games. Luckily his teacher didn't believe in homework! He missed his friends this school year and we are cutting back next year, probably no basketball!

Loose toof!
In February Addison started loosing her top teeth. My kids loose teeth at a really young age. Why do kids love wiggling teeth? It just grosses me out! At our house the tooth fairy isn't very on top of things, it sometimes takes a while for her to arrive!
Three days later it was out!

Think Swish
For the 2012-2013 school year the boys did a program called "Think Swish" The basketball coach at Dixie High School has an after school basketball program. Twice a week the boys would go to practice for an hour and do drills. Saturdays they would play games. I saw a lot of improvement from both of the boys. By the end of the year we were all burned out with our busy schedule (mostly baseball) that we dropped it for the last month of school. Wow did that help my schedule! I love watching these boys play! Easton is #5 in the white jersey and Camden is in the black jersey with glasses (you can't see his number)
