In January we took a few homeless kids to the ghost town Grafton (seriously does anyone get these kids haircuts or comb their hair?)
Grafton is a ghost town near Zion National park, it was featured in the movie Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid!
It was a tiny town with only 4 or 5 buildings and a really cool cemetery that is kept up by descendants of Grafton pioneers!
We also found a couple geocaches. Easton is so good at finding them, which frustrates Camden to death. We have implemented a "find but don't tell until we walk away from it" rule. We can say I found it but not where.
Afterwards we went to eat in Springdale, which is the town at the entrance of Zion. Most of the stores and restaurants were closed for the winter. It was a fun day excursion!

Sledding on New Years 2013
New years day we went sledding with the Doty's in Pine Valley. It was so much fun, but man was it freezing~the wind was just enough to make this desert living girl miserable! The kids and Neil had fun being pulled on the tube, I could hardly stand there without teeth chattering!

Daisy!
For the 2012-2013 school year Brooke was asked to serve with the Special Needs Mutual. Special needs mutual meets every Thursday from 6-8:30. Anyone over the age of 12, no matter how mild or severe the diability, is invited to attend. They are then assigned a counselor. Brooke was assigned to work with Daisy. Daisy is in her early 20's and has cerebral palsy. Daisy can't walk or talk. Brooke loved her year with Daisy and looked forward to spending her Thursdays with Daisy.

The Bears!
Easton has been playing on a competative baseball team since last spring. They have improved so much! We spend a lot of time at the ball fields, and love every minute of it! Here are some of the pictures of his teammates...more photos to come!

First day of School 2012
The kids were so excited to go back to school, well most of them. Addison not so much! She liked the idea of first grade, then quickly discovered she doesn't like it one bit. She continually asks if she can go back to Mrs. Moore's class (I am sure that is has nothing to do with her 3 best friends are in that class!)
Easton is in 4th grade this year with Mr. Campbell! Camden is in 5th grade with Mr. Anderson Addison is in first grade with Mrs. Evans I walked the kids the first day and they were excited to get there. The boys decided they were big enough that they didn't need me to take them to their classrooms! Luckily Addison let me! Addisons teacher had to make sure she turned around for a picture! I did really well with her going until the door shut, and then I got a little teary. I miss having that girl home with me! I think we both had a hard time adjusting. Addison wasn't eating her lunch for the first few weeks, so I ended up going in and sitting with her at lunch and making her eat. After eating with her a handfull of times she has done much better with eating her lunch! She still isn't very excited about school though!Posted by Sleepless In St. George at 5:21 AM 1 comments

Cute girl on a two wheeler
Addison has been riding a two wheeler for probably a year and a half. For Christmas she got a bigger bike and loves it, but I think she prefers her old bike because she can touch the ground so much easier with it!

My baby graduates!
I can't believe my baby graduated kindergarten. They put on a nice little program and then got their diploma. She had a great year in Mrs. Moore's class.
Addison was the second shortest kid in her class. They were so tiny that they had to stand up on the top row while everyone else was one row below. I can't believe how quickly the time went. Now she is off to first grade and is very upset about it. Why? The cafeteria smells bad! By the way...why is the lighting so terrible in the gym? Don't they know parents will be taking pictures?!Posted by Sleepless In St. George at 10:52 AM 0 comments
Easton ears his Wolf!
The same night that Brooke was being honored at honors society Easton got his wolf. He has a great group of friends his age at church.
