So today I went and bought my first pair of real running shoes. And I ran a mile and 1/2! What's that I hear? Oh is that the sound of Val cheering....oh and the sound of lots of jaws hitting the ground? I even think I could have jogged longer, but the guy at the running store said to take it easy the first few times! Don't want an injury. So I wanted super cute shoes, but ended up with OK cute shoes that actually feel fantastic and help my arches! So...here I begin my quest to actually become healthy. I had to get a size 10 shoe. Can you believe it? You have to get bigger then your normal shoe size so that you don't lose your toe nails. EWE! This is suppose to be fun? So hopefully all this hard work will pay off and I will be able to run a 5k this fall with my friends. Anyone interested? Come join us!
