Challenge #1

Here is the challenge: provide me with your very best crockpot recipe. I love the crockpot. I love the ease of it. I find I always have the most energy at 10 in the morning, not 5 pm when everyone is starving. Crockpots don't heat up the house, great in 113* weather. They also can give great hot meals, great in yucky cold weather. When I am sick I love just throwing something in and knowing I don't have to think of it the rest of the day. So I have a few categories for you: chicken, beef, soup and dessert. There will be a winner for each category. I will personally test out each recipe (unless it is all seafood and veggies...which I can tell you now won't win cause I don't eat them). Winners will be announced, prizes will be given and all recipes will be honored to receive a place on the coveted cupcake blog! Have fun, but remember it may take me a few weeks to try out all the recipes! Begin!

I have one that Mike and I like with different beans, bacon, and meat (kinda like a thick stew). Does that sound interesting? If so I can e-mail the recipe.

My favorite is a 2 lb pot roast, put in 2 or 3 cans of beef consume and cook on low heat 8 - 10 hours. (or high heat for 6 - 8 hours). Then serve on hogie rolls using the leftover beef consume as dipping sauce (you know - french dip type stuff). It is simple, yummy and EASY!!!

get yourself a pot roast, or a butt whatever you want.

(here is the veggies, you dont have to eat them make the kids eat them)

cut up carrots, onions, celery, potatoes. Whatever you fancy in it.

Then put all the cut up veggies on the bottom, set the roast on the top of them.

In a bowl mix 1 cup of water, 1 package of itallian powder dressing, 1 package of ranch powder dressing, and 1 package of brown gravy (still the powder stuff)

Mix all 3 packages/pouches into the water. Pour over the roast

Cook on low of 8 hours or high for 4. (dont quote me on the time i go by looking at it) But something like that.

ITS SO YUM!!! And the veggies are yum and tender with the dinner.

I'm excited for your crockpot collection. I only have a recipe from off "Living on a Dime's" website. I'll have to get it over to you.
